Rapidly expanding on an ongoing basis, PGV already offers more convenient, reliable options than ever before. An additional flight per day has increased available seats and flights by 20 percent, and a recent resurfacing project has increased the lifespan of the runway by 35 percent. Runway lights have also been replaced with brighter, more energy-efficient LED lights, which increases the visibility of the runway, reduces energy consumption by as much as 75 percent per year and reduces maintenance costs, as LED lights can last as long as seven years.
PGV is looking into securing a second airline for daily service in the future. This will allow Greenville and neighboring residents to enjoy access to two major travel hubs, which not only means more flight options but also more convenience and greater reliability.
